Patent & Trademarks – Law Firm of the Year USA

McCoy Russell has been announced as a winner of a 2019 Finance Monthly Legal Award in the category Patent & Trademarks – Law Firm of the Year – USA.

Award winners were chosen by the readership of Finance Monthly and their judging panel. Awards are divided into individual and firm categories. Each category was selected to represent the diversity of skills and knowledge that the profession has to offer clients across the globe.

2019 Women of Influence – Anna McCoy

Firm founding partner, Anna McCoy has been featured in the April 2019 edition of the Portland Business Journal as a nominee of the 2019 Women of Influence.

Anna’s nomination was based on her recognition as one of Oregon’s best intellectual property lawyers year after year for her work on trademark and patent law. Along with her being incredibly dedicated to all her clients, both small and large, ensuring each case is treated with her unique hands on approach.

Anna participates within her community in many ways. She is on the board of directors for VertueLab which is a local organization which partners with investors and innovators to create clean technology. As well as being a founding partner of the firm which is a certified Woman Owned Small Business. She has spoken at women in law and technology events, as well as  mentoring up and coming students from her alma mater Lewis and Clark Law School.

Chinese Patent Prosecution Reexamination Win

McCoy Russell’s Chinese Patent Prosecution team won another revocation of an improper rejection by the Chinese Patent Office. Our team led the appeal to the Reexamination Board that obtained a decision revoking all rejections and indicating that the application would continue to be examined by the original examination department. The case is Chinese Patent Application No. 201480064221.3, relating to lighting systems and controls.
