March brought the first opportunity of the year to get outside and help keep our community clean; volunteers from McCoy Russell and their families spent the morning of St. Patrick’s Day at Terwilliger Parkway to work on restoring the urban forest for hikers, runners and community members. They focused on native planting to help keep the area natural for both plants and wildlife.
