PTAB Pro Bono Program

McCoy Russell has an active and highly regarded appeal practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The firm has handled more than 300 PTAB appeals and has a win rate of over 85%, well above the national average.

However, many applicants cannot afford the costs of an appeal and end of abandoning their valuable intellectual property. As part of McCoy Russell’s program to give back to the community, the firm is volunteering to assist financially under-resourced inventors and small businesses in a new program specifically directed to appeals at the USPTO. Inventors and small businesses that meet certain financial thresholds and other criteria may be eligible to utilize expert appeal representation.
